Red Party of FOUR!

Woosh...it's been quiet around here! Probably due to the fact that I've been laying on the couch for a month with morning sickness! Yep, we're pregnant with baby #2 and we could not be more excited about it.

I'm 12 weeks now (due January 29) and wanted to share a little update on my pregnancy so far! Even from before we found out, I have felt completely different. I've still been exhausted and nauseous every once in a while but there have been some major differences in this pregnancy that I'm grateful for.

One is that with Reaghan, I had major migraines. Like, had to get Jordan to press on each side of my head with all his force to relieve the pressure painful. I haven't had any so far and I am thrilled about that!!! I also had a constant car sick type of nausea that never went away unless I was eating something with Reaghan. With this baby I've felt nauseous here and there, but nothing too bad or lasting too long. Speaking of eating, I had major food aversions with Reaghan, where I couldn't stand to be in our kitchen or a grocery store because of how heightened my sense of smell was!! I couldn't be around cooked eggs or any kind of vegetable and I could only stomach fast food. Knowing this I was worried I'd have the same issue with my second, but thank GOD I've been able to (for the most part) continue cooking healthy meals and the only fast food I've indulged in is Chick-Fil-A and of course milk shakes..... they settle my stomach ;)

We had a hunch for several weeks that we were pregnant (I guess before I even was technically!) and I knew I wanted to tell Jordan in a cute way. I didn't want to wait too long to take a test since we were so sure we were pregnant, so I took it really early, at about 4 weeks. I took it immediately after he left for work with Reaghan with me and immediately two lines popped up! I thought "wow, no mistaking...I'm super preggo!" Rae and I danced around a bit and then we got in the car and headed to Target to pick out a gift for daddy. I found a book titled "There's a Baby on the Way!" and got it. When Jordan came home from work that evening I had Reaghan bring it to him and said "she wants you to read her a story!" She handed the book to him and it took him a few seconds to register that it was my way of telling him WE were having a baby! I handed him the pregnancy test and we jumped around some more and he kept saying "wow, there's four of us!"

We'll be having this baby at the birth center where we had Reaghan and I'm already so grateful to be there. We switched from an OB to a midwife at 25 weeks with Reaghan so it's fun to be there from the beginning and get the full experience this time around. I already love all the new midwives they have working there and feel so loved by our BeBe (what our midwife has all her babies call her).

Can't wait to keep you updated on this journey with me! I'll try to get some bump updates in here as well as some fun info about pregnancy, birth and planning for the second.

If you have more than one child, what was your subsequent pregnancies like? Let me know!
