2019-2020 Winter Meal Plan (our dinner rotation for Dec-Feb)

The other day I asked y’all on instagram if you were still interested in seeing what our family will be eating for dinners over the winter season, and it was a resounding YES! I am so thrilled you are still eager to learn what the Seasonal Meal Planning method is all about and how you can implement these tips to create peace and rhythm in YOUR family when it comes to meal times. Because as every busy mama knows, 5 o’clock can sometimes be our hardest hour of the day….. so let’s make it easier on ourselves! If you want to learn more about what a Seasonal Meal Plan is and how you can implement it for yourself, I’ve written about it extensively in other SMP posts (you can find them here) and in my 5-day meal planning email course (free!)

Just a heads up - we’re going BACK TO BASICS this winter, so a lot of these recipes don’t come with official recipes, but I will do my best to link where you can find them in my instagram story highlights, and link to other blogs for some too.

Winter Meal Plan 2019-2020


OUR WINTER MEAL PLAN


  1. Roasted Chicken (we are going to make this greek-style recipe this season)

  2. Burgers, homemade fries (roasted potatoes cut like fries), roasted broccoli

  3. Salmon (I like to sear it, then bake for 10 minutes at 425 F and top with pesto or ranch), roasted brussels sprouts, quinoa

  4. Stir fry and rice (check my easy recipes highlight for the step by step)

  5. Paella (recipe to come as I tweak it!)

  6. Coconut Curry Chicken Meatballs, rice, and a veggie

  7. Meatballs in marinara sauce, roasted carrot fries, quinoa or cauliflower rice

  8. Hot Wings (check my easy recipes highlight for the recipe), roasted broccoli, salad

  9. Creamy Bacon Mushroom Chicken, sautéed collard greens, roasted plantains

  10. Short Ribs

    • I like to make this (it makes a TON) and have it at least 3x during the week in different ways - with a roasted vegetable, in GF pasta, on a pizza, etc.

    • (recipe from Dinner: The Playbook… highly recommend)

  11. Creamy Chicken Florentine Soup

  12. Tacos (recipe in Week 4 of Cook Once Eat All Week)

  13. White fish cooked in marinara with peppers, roasted gold potatoes and salad

  14. Slow Cooker Beef Bourguignon (I like to make this in a dutch oven in the oven, it tastes sooo much better!)

  15. Frittata and salad (with whatever veggies and meat I have on hand)

  16. Breakfast for dinner (pancakes, bacon or sausage, eggs, fruit)

  17. Apricot Chicken (the recipe is in my recipe binder, I will share it on instagram when we make it and save it to my “easy recipes” highlight!), roasted plantain, roasted broccoli

  18. Mexican Meatloaf, roasted potatoes/sweet potatoes, salad (this is also in the recipe binder and I can share on instagram and will save in the same highlight)

  19. Grilled flank steak tacos (same as above)

  20. Pork Chops, veggie
